1. Pick the right fit for your feet
First and foremost, the most important elements when purchasing high heels are the fit and the size. The fit is essential. If you have flat feet, then choose a pair of heels with a wider insole. The size is also just as important. It doesn’t matter how gorgeous they are, buying a pair of shoes just one size too big or small is a total fashion faux pas. It’s only a matter of time before you stop looking and feeling comfortable. It’s not worth the pain!

2. The right height for the right situation
We all have heels that are made for special occasions and they quite often come in great heights. Choose the height of heels by taking into consideration your schedule for the day. A 6 inch pair is not the best choice if you are planning to go food shopping or have business meetings all day. However, for a date where you are most likely to spend most of your time seated; this height is more manageable.

3. Platforms are your friends!
Platform shoes provide comfort and height. What else could you want? Despite the fact that men usually don’t like the look of platform shoes, they make your legs look like Naomi Campbell.

Feet go through a lot during the day. Like every muscle, they need to be taken care of. Aim to have a foot bath at least once a month. Moisturise your feet regularly to keep them soft and pretty. Just before going to bed, moisturise them again and massage them for 5 minutes.

5. Hair dryer magic
It sounds crazy but it is our secret advice! You’ve just purchased a leather pair of heels, you haven’t worn them yet and therefore they will be very hard and inflexible. Wear the shoes, and then warm them up with you hair dryer. Keep a distance of 10 inches minimum between your feet and the hair dryer to avoid deforming or spoiling your shoes. After 1 minute, the leather will be soft and you will feel much more comfortable!
