3 Colours Rule adoration at London Fashion Week – AW15

It would be about the time that I (we) report live (so not) as to our showdown selectives from London Fashion Week AW15. Day 5 is well and truly over (has been for a couple of days now)… Clearly we thought we’d let you get on with peering over towards Milan while we get our shiz together, what with new campaigns and all it has been nothing short of all go go go.
If I’m going in dirty with details, it would be appropriate to recollect on collections that we were eagerly looking out for. You’re all fabulously acquainted with the sheer fact that I was revelling in New Generation (NG) glory prior to the demise *sad face* of a fabulous 5 day event and I tell you, there was no letting me down.
In no particular order;
Faustine Steinmetz: much to my expectation. She gave us some loving loving with her almost still life not at all still life presentation. For AW15, she had me (and F) tearing a few eye muscles with her wool twining creatives, entire denim looks too, yes all with wool. Pretty epic if you ask me – a super take on iconic apparel. (NG)
Danielle Romeril. Now, this feature presentation had me pulling on heartstrings. With an almost box barn like setting, lavender scattered and texture meets hippy galore, there was definitely some drool. And white eyeliner, WHITE eyeliner, you hear me, see I told you so. Tan fringing rocks, do expect to see more of it in months to come. (NG)
So yes, by now I had torn eyes and a string torn heart – New Generation #winning.
Now, Mr Nascimento, 3CR love a bit of Lucas. And taking prime space for LFW AW15 in the main courtyard of Somerset House, he did not fail to amaze. I would be bragging if I were to mention front row seats, so I’ll just leave that. His play on leather this time around was more than needed to satisfy ones love for androgynous cuts. Texture mixture entirely spot on with the perfect addition of glitter woven bouclé. Ok I know, I have that harp out, but you get the point, Lucas is still a genius.
Lucky enough to view London’s very own brand All Saints, this time at the Royal College of Arts. These folk haven’t held back on the classic autumnal palette or infamous layering, in fact, the collection appears to be all about layering for both guys and you sensational women alike. Here is what strikes particular interest, a semi ‘big on print’ collection has its inspiration taken from heritage London, a combination of upholstery prints from old red bus seats and pub carpets. A major tick in the box there for innovation. The leather bags? #tdf! The classic duffle is my personal favourite and more of that to come @compendiumamplified.com, soon.
H by non-other than Mr Hakaan Yildirim. This dude leaves you with palpitating effects. I mean like wow. Our entire crew went a little social media crazy with the show. Inspired by Hakaan’s love for the movie ‘Grey Gardens’, he graced the catwalk with an array of colour superbia across a generous number of looks articulated to perfection. Wool, Viscose, silk & Velvet MEETS Blacks Greens Reds & Beige Tones. Individual style and importance of is prevalent throughout. The same look can be reworked to look different, take note.
Now, rich velvets, do you covet? Sexy lace inserts and meticulously selected cut outs, covet some more? Well Emilio de la Morena was right up this avenue. A sophisticated palette I would add, with winter perfect glamour, elegant silhouettes and a pristine amount of sparkle.
As for Orla (Kiely) she moved away from any signs of adhockery, presenting us with library chic, who said simple doesn’t work? Perfect hues meddled together to create chic funk, albeit preppy. Perfect daywear and singles that can be evening transitioned, seamlessly. This would fit perfectly as the go-to work wardrobe.
What now? Well that is some rendition of a ‘low down’ of just a few of the aesthetically pleasant elements exposed to us here at 3CR. See all in all, LFW set’s itself out to provide us with a fashion forward fix, and that said, it did just that.

Did NewGen smash it? Oh yes. Glass replacements are on route.
